A new wave of hope for the conservation of Galápagos

Every great change begins with a dream, and every dream born from a love of nature has the power to transform the future.

Our story

Four young dreamers and visionaries

The story of GALAPAGOS THE NEXT WAVE S.A.S. was born from the vision of four young dreamers and visionaries: David Lansdale, Steven Méndez, Alejandro Restrepo and Sebastián Calva, who understood that the Galápagos Islands are not only an extraordinary destination to discover, but a natural treasure we have a responsibility to protect.

In the middle of the vast Pacific Ocean, these islands hold a unique natural wealth, species found nowhere else on Earth and landscapes that remind us of the greatness of nature. Yet they also teach us that what is truly valuable needs our commitment to remain intact.

From that deep reflection came an idea: to create a new wave of conscious tourism, where every visitor not only discovers the magic of Galápagos, but also becomes part of its conservation.

The Next Wave

A new way of understanding tourism

That is how THE NEXT WAVE was born: a new way of understanding tourism, a new way of connecting people with nature and a new opportunity to show that travel can be much more than seeing a place; it can also be a way of helping to protect it.

Our vision is to build a bridge between those who dream of visiting Galápagos and the need to preserve its extraordinary natural heritage. We believe every visitor can take home unforgettable memories of these islands and, at the same time, leave a positive contribution that helps keep their essence alive.

That is why our programs are born with a purpose that goes beyond offering tourist experiences: to promote conservation, raise environmental awareness and encourage a respectful relationship between people and nature. Every experience is a chance to understand that the beauty of Galápagos is not guaranteed forever; it depends on the decisions we make today.

Galápagos

We don’t want future generations to know these islands only through photographs, books or stories.

Our legacy

For our children, our grandchildren and those not yet born

We don’t want future generations to know these islands only through photographs, books or stories told by those lucky enough to visit them. We want them to be able to see their landscapes, discover their species, feel the vastness of their ocean and marvel at the life that flourishes in every corner of this archipelago.

We want our children, our grandchildren and those not yet born to have the same chance to stand before this natural wonder and understand why Galápagos is a treasure that belongs not only to those who live on its islands, but to all of humanity.

Because visiting Galápagos should be an experience that transforms the traveler, and also a chance to help protect what they came to admire.

Our commitment

Conservation is a shared responsibility

At GALAPAGOS THE NEXT WAVE S.A.S. we believe conservation is a shared responsibility. We believe in tourism that raises awareness, values nature and turns every experience into a seed of hope for the future.

Our commitment is to sail toward a horizon where tourism and conservation move forward together, where every step is guided by respect for life and every decision keeps in mind the legacy we will leave to the next generations.

Today we are an initiative born from the vision of four young people. Tomorrow we hope to be part of a movement of people committed to the same purpose: protecting the magic of Galápagos so that it never stops existing as we know it.

Because waves pass, but the legacy we build can last forever.
